Hope, delivered by the hands of a vet

A WVS vet cuddles a healthy dog

WVS Hope is working across India to protect the animals that need it most.

Street dogs, rescued wildlife, working animals — every one of them deserves care. We make sure a vet is there when they need one.

Through sterilisation, vaccination, rescue and veterinary training, we're building a future where no animal suffers.

Vaccinated puppies

1.2 million animals vaccinated. And counting.

In 2025–26, our teams reached animals across eight Indian states — from Goa to Jharkhand, Maharashtra to Kerala. Working alongside municipal bodies, NGOs and local communities, we vaccinated over 1.2 million animals, sterilised more than 32,000, and treated over 17,300.

Expert veterinary training

Through our International Training Centres, we trained over 870 veterinary professionals in 2025–26 — building the permanent local capacity that makes lasting change possible. One trained vet doesn't just save one animal. They save thousands.

Mission Rabies teams

Rabies elimination

Ending rabies in our generation. Through mass dog vaccination, surveillance and community education, we're proving that eliminating rabies is achievable. In 2025, our Mission Rabies teams vaccinated over one million dogs across India.

"Every rescued animal, every vaccinated dog, and every child inspired stands as proof that collective action can create a kinder world."
